It sounds like the two polyurethane drums in the FEED brace would absorb the shocks.

i have a HPI torque brace on my FD, and i can tell you that while it is very stiff, it does compress. i put it on a machine shop press just to see how much pressure it would take to compress it.
I have been told that the HPI and FEED braces are made by the same manafacturer, just labeled diffrrently. the brace works great, just remember that you will need to use a spacer with a longer bolt on the intake manifold side of the brace in order for it to clear the US ABS pump. the other option is making a new bracket on the fenderwall side, that will position the brace away from the abs unit. if vosko brings his digicam to the track tomorow, i'll ask him to take some pics of my brace to show the needed modifcation. |
what size bolts do you need and where can you get them.

3/8" available at your local Home Depot. I'm doing the same thing today so I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

hey lost time,

Yep HPI. FEED, R-Magic (now), hummmm who else has them??
Axia Sports Well there are a few other companies that have them, but FEED I work with a lot and they hook it up. All are exactly the same. HPI is red though, the rest are green. Jason www.jt-imports.com |
