I have been looking through my Bible (Rx-7 Shop Manual) Can't find out where this hose goes. The one with the white flag on it!

I'm going to say it's one of the coolant hoses that goes to the throttle body

Yes, we have tertiary throttle body confirmation, Sir.

Okay.....well I thought I had it figured out. On the front of the TB by the elbow their is a small pipe that I am guessing is a coolant pipe and connects to another pipe right below it maybe 5 inches away. I got that. I was trying to figure out why their was only 1 coolant line going into the TB. SO you are saying that the flagged hose connects to another pipe on the back of the TB. I will look in the morning. I just flooded my engine and I am not gonna fix that right now!!!! |
Yup it goes on the back of the throttle body.

Okay...so these two hoses go together? Makes sense since the hose is an exact length and fit. BUt why the hell where they capped off on my car https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png Also....What does that pipe in the background go to? |
They where capped off to eliminate the TB coolant flow. See here for more info I have mine eliminated to allow less time to take the TB and UIM off, thats the only benifit I have found for it. The downside is a rough/lumpy idle until warm up.
|
I dont have that on my car either. I eliminated it.
You dont really want all that hot coolant around your throttle body do you? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png BTW Nice choice of vacum hose color https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png |
