The real benifit is the heat reduction and a slight weight reduction. It really only is there to recirculate air into your exhaust and cut down on "harmful gasses" that are in your exhaust.....tree hugger crapola..

It sits right in front & above your turbos though, so opening that area up is definitely a plus. It will really help cut down on the heat soak,

that occurs when you shut off the engine.

Beware that once you remove it thought that your stock cat will be clogged in about 5k miles if not sooner.

You will then be needing either a high flow cat or a mid pipe.

spend the extra time to completely remove related piping....

Yeah, I will get the Block off plate necessary and remove it entirely. BTW, I do have a straight through exhaust. I purchased and installed a midpipe right before my coolant seals went on me. So clogging Cat won't be an issue. However, some dead trees and the O-zone layer may be an issue. Thanks for all the Replies fellas. I checked that Website that carries the blockoff plates individually for $10 each. Which one am I looking for ? I'm not sure what you want to do exactly. You don't need any block off plates to remove the air pump, I guess you are talking about the ACV?

That is listed on that link so what exactly do you mean by "which one to get?"

You will however need a different size belt at the least. Greddy has the pulley kit that comes with the new belt for around$120

You can actually just get the belt if you prefer. I forget what size the belt is though. a little help someone?

I tried to find the size w/o buying the Greddy kit, but couldnt' find one that fit, so I ended up buying the Greddy kit. You need to block off one of the hard lines on the back and side of the LIM. Just use a plastic plug to plug it up....OR you can just buy an ACV block off plate(or make one like me) and your done. You need to have a piece of aluminum appx. the same size a a 3X5 index card and have either 3 10mm bolts or 3 10mm nuts with large washers.
