Basically this is what i want from my FD. I dont know what the chances are of finding one like this, which is why im posting. Money is not an option although i would like to stay under 25k, and i need to be in a situation to make payments (not really a worry i have a cosigner with flawless credit).
Specs i am looking to get: Color: Black EXT, no INT preference Trans: Perfer auto, could adapt to 5spd if i have too opti: Perfer power everything, and sunroof. Must have a sunroof. Leather would be nice but i can do without : ) Distance: Willing to travel, but would like to keep it within a 2- 3 hour trip if possible. Now a question on milage. I want a mildly mod'd FD. What i mean is i want stock or stock with an exhaust system, but im not sure what milage is a good one. Original miles are key, but what should i watch for? Keep in mind i will be paying for this car for a fairly long time. Cant say i would mind a haltech system either, but i would perfer to do my work myself, and have more pride in the vehicle. So basically i am looking for a low milage, good condition, black FD with auto and sunroof. What are the odds on this, and what am i looking to pay? I dont want to use ebay and i would perfer to go through a dealer. Thanks for the help. |
you do NOT want an auto. I repeat, NO AUTO!!!
Sounds like you want a touring, leather seats and moonroof. sorry i didnt read past that https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
Year preference?
Why would you want to purchase from a dealer? Part of the second question, is a warranty an issue? Meaning, would you like to have one? If so, what do you want it to cover? |
Any reason as to the auto? I do plan to do some racing, but im not the best driver in traffic and such, how hard is a manual to get used too?
I actually want a '93 FD, sorry that i forgot to mention that. I wanted to go through a dealer because i think i might get a better deal then if some personal seller who could tell me its a legit car knowing apex seals might go, or something. Doesnt have to be a dealer because i can get a loan through the bank. But dealer would be easier all around i feel. Warrenty is not needed, but obviously any warrenty that comes with the car is a bonus, especially on the motor! |
Manual is easy to get used to. If your buying a Mazda Millenia, go with auto. On a sports car stay with stick.
Its like ridding a bicycle........once you learn how, it just becomes second nature to you! |
How forgiving is the car? I have no car to practice a stick in, that makes a test drive and driving the car home very, very awkward. Ive never even driven a stick, i might not like it, or even if i do, damage the car going home.

you'll regret it if you get auto..... get manual...... one day driving the car....... and you're set.
if you dont know how to drive manual, im sure there are a lot of people in the forum that is willing to teach you |
Now that you mention it, my buddy's mustang died and he got a pontiac sundance thats manual. Coolness. Ok, so a 5spd is ok.
|
It would be cool to get to drive an FD, and learn manual at the same time. But i wouldnt ask anyone to put their FD through that LOL
