I'm sick of ******* with it.. I've removed and or replaced everything in the goddamn engine bay HOPING to get the car to stop smoking.. No luck. I get a ******* CLOUD every time I cold start it.. Goes on for 15 minutes (EMBARASSING) and then it smokes between hard shifts when hot.. I guess it needs a FULL rebuild.. Not just coolant seals, apex seals and a streetport. Sure wish I would have known that before.. LOL Oh well. I'll have it running this weekend again I hope.

Goddamn that LS1 sitting in the garage SURE is tempting.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Hey Justin, are you 100% sure it's not your turbo? I hate to see you taking it out again and doing all that work and it ends up being something else.

well why didn't you rebuild the whole thing when it was apart?

Yea I would suggest trying another turbo just incase, even if that turbo is new...

id be tempted to do that too. did you keep the metering pump? we had a car that the vacuum line for the metering jets was in the wrong place, and it smoked like a bitch

Well, I had originally thought it was the stock twins. While they were being rebuilt, I pulled the motor (thought to be good) to have new coolant seals, apex seals and a streetport.. A "freshen up" if you will.. Well, put everything back together and problem remains. I checked the turbo, the return line, removed the omp (without premix) and it still smokes. I KNOW it's the motor now. The front rotor housing is full of oil.. **** it. I'll fix it. It'll just be THAT much better. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I would, but it's done this on 2 sets of turbos now.. both before and after the rebuild. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
