It won't start. I'm almost certain it's something electrical, because i can push start it and it runs fine. usually when this happens to me, it's just a blown fuel pump fuse, but this is different. it doesn't even crank. i took it to mazda (don't hate) to see if they could find a simple problem, but all they could tell me is that the starter isn't getting any power to it and it may have to do with my turbo-timer. i intend on checking out the problem myself as soon as i have some time (after i finish this semester at UCF), but i just want to know if anyone can point me in the right direction. i'd kind of like to avoid ripping apart the whole electrical system so someone please help me out.

Do you get any power when you turn the key to acc?...If not check the ground to the firewall, use a booster wire and then try. That happened to me.

Sounds like the starter to me. Do you hear a 'click' when you turn the key? You can pull the starter, use a car battery, hook the positive side to the hot wire going in, and touch the negative to the main part of the starter that bolts to the car, and it should spin. Thats how I tested my starter on the mini anyways. I had to redo the bushes that were wore down to make more contact on the comutator...thus engaging the bendix drive and starting the engine. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
