when my car warms up it idles like a 5.0 with a cam in it . It never did this untill 2 days after I got my downpipe, cat-back, s afc, and some kind of welding done in the throttle body(the guy at the shop said it adds 10 hp) When I first got the car back I had a huge increase in power then It went away a few days later I took it back and they said one of the vac lines was loose and fixed it. Some but not all the power came back and i have a mysterious idle now, my car has 40k miles and ran absolutely perfect untill the mods.

What would he have welded in the TB? Did you take it back again ask him about the idle. You probably have a vacuum leak. Can you check the lines? If you spray some carb cleaner ( a small amount ) around your various lines and the idle changes, you have found your leak. Tom

when you open up the exhaust the cold idle gets lumpy, the map sensor doesnt have the accuracy to make it smooth

My fc sounded like a Harley while it warmed up after I put my exhaust on. Sounded cool, but the idle speed was too low, it wouldn't idle on its own very well even after it warmed up and would almost die coming up to stops. I bumped it up a bit and its all good now.

The TB mod sounds like the double throttle removal. When it's cold, it'll idle a little funky. Since it started after your guy messed with it, I woulld get him to fix it. My car idles a little funky when it's cold too, just the nature of the beast I suppose.

The welding in the tb was probably part of the double-throttle elim. When you remove them the car will start idleing a bit rough. Just stay out of the gas until it warms up.

thanks for the info guys,i really appreciate the help. I tried spraying ether to find the vac leak and had no luck. I was wondering if running too rich could cause it to idle this way. It only idles this way after my car is warm. I also have a loss in hp, Its probably slower than stock. my a\f guage isnt installed yet so im not sure what the \f ratio is. it was tuned with a wideband, but the guy seemed unsure what a\f mix to use so Im thinking it could be a little rich.
