I think I have a ground problem somewhere. My warning buzzer will chirp at me from time to time or will start buzzing for 30 seconds or so and go off. The coolant is topped off along with the oil so I know I'm good there. I've checked the sensor connection at the water pump and it's good. Can anybody tell me where this warning buzzer is located so I can remove it. A pic would be even better if somebody has one. This thing is killing me!!!

Thanks!

There's a reason it's going off. If you think it's shorted somewhere I'd investigate that first. It's also common to have some air in the system, or (less likely) the sensor is simply bad.

Try burping the system or tracing the wires back to make sure they're OK. The sensor itself is one of the easiest to access and least expensive, but disabling it in any way could be dangerous to your motor.

Thanks for the post. I've tried burping the system and had no luck. I thought maybe the sensor on the water pump was bad so I grounded it but didn't have any luck. I'll try tracing the wires back to see if I can find a short. If I don't have luck there my next option is to remove or replace the buzzer if I can find it. So far I can't locate it. My directional hearing sucks when I'm up in the floor board trying to locate it. Even if I disable the buzzer, isn't there a little red warning light that comes on if the coolant is low?

Yes, on that worthless OEM gauge. But it's not that bright, especially during the day.

The buzzer is located inside a little black box to right of the steering column (remember mine is right hand drive) approximately 20cm x 7cm. It has been a while since i pulled mine out to remove the buzzer so im not a 100% on the size. I was having the same problem. Mine hasn't worked properly since i had my engine rebuilt. "Be warned" since i removed the buzzer my cruise control doesn't work and my electric windows stopped working for an hour or so. And the light on my temp gauge is still on. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.gif good luck hope you have more luck than i did.

There is a single wire (black connector)that connects the engine harness and the ignition/ac/ps/alternator harness. maybe a short there?? maybe sum unforeseen problem with your cooooolant system. don't remove the buzzer. there is a good post on rx7club where some one explains how to rewire it your self. it is a simple process. why break something that you can fix???http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=799078
