Check & clean/replace spark plug regulary

check water levels check for leaks regulary

check oil and keep topped regulary. Change fuel filter around every 20k

Some of the rx7's I see coming in from Japan with say 40,000 mile mark some of them have waterpumps in not the best condition so I would say for added precaution you could get that changed every 30-40 k also.

Get a boost gauge fitted if you don't already have one and a aftermarket water temp gauge a sthe stock one is pretty useless until it's too late.

I think in the UK anyway the most common problems with fd's are boost related

needs usually a lot of patience to troubleshoot and resolve.
