yeah yeah the vmount looks nice and everything but, is it better than a regular fmic kit and a aftermarket radiator......if so how much

well its the best of both worlds... no overheating problems that most front mounts have and no real heat soak like stock mount intercoolers.... so its just cool..... plus cold air goes to the radiator intake and intercooler........

there is no win win situation when it comes to ic setups. to have a vmount you will still run into heatsoak at red lights, ect. but will be good on the highway for example. but the front mount setup would be good because at a stop the ic won't be prone to heat soak because it's further away from the hot engine and turbo. but it will block cool air to your rad. either way you have to choose your setup to fit your needs.

I like the V-mount setup because the radiator gets some cool air, and water in the rotary engine is responsible for reducing 2/3 of the engines heat and heat is a big killer. The thing I don't know is how efficient is it at lower speeds? Maybe not that much...but once you get it up to speed I'm sure it works well!

I just put the V mount in my car from rotary extreme. I paid about 3K total but I got EVERYTHING with it (battery, BOV, t bolt clamps, polishing job, greddy elbow). I have yet to feel the IC or radiator being hot. I drove it around town and on the highway. I'd give a little more input but my engine popped 2 days after I had my car put back together...

It's a little more expensive but I love the look and love the quality of the kit.

V-mounts are nice. Very functional. Price is a TAD steep, but understandable. Personally, I think a well thought out SMIC or FMIC will function just as well.. Depending on how it's used..



Water injection can battle the heat too, and is a hell of a lot cheaper than a V-mount..

Hey **** happens. It was time anyway. Bryan is going to build her for me. I'm getting a street port done and some of those new twins like Stephen (SPautos) has. I can't wait, I'm hoping for high 300's at around 15psi.

It was worth it just to hear the engine finally run right. Steve Kan's mad tuning skills are amazing.

I just had to leave before she got put on the trailer. I don't think I could have handled that...

in the midst of putting my V-mount in, but broke my collar bone and so it is half done. it is a bit of work and being an engineer i think this has the best trade offs all. your ic doesn't block or heat soak the radiator or visa versa. i got a vented Carbon fiber hood so the the air will go through the IC and out the hoot vents.



the price is a little steep, but you get it all, new all aluminum radiator, bigger ic, excellent cold air box, new lighter battery. you add it up and it costs.



another tradeoff is weight, i am that **** i weighed everything and with the smaller battery you are actually losing weight, which you would not do if you just got a bigger IC.



So, very nice set up, very efficient, and less weight. Whenever you can lose wieght and gain HP it is the ticket.



Once finished in month with I can work on it i will post, and give dyno results.
