I have a 94 FD touring, with a reman motor with 10k on it a downpipe, Blitz exhaust, power fc and other small things, the chasis has 115k on it. The car runs well with a strong pull. It has a rotary extreme front feed front bumper and feed fenders and a carbon fiber scoot style hood. I live in south carolina. not alot of fd's down here. looking to get areound 14,500 for it. wondering if this sounds about right to you guys. Thanks

sounds a lil high to me for that high a chassis milage. It all depends on how long you can hold out before selling it. If you can wait for the right buyer... then yes, you'll get it. Post some pics of the car.. what condition is the body?
BTW, where in SC are you? I live(d) near Myrtle Beach. *edit*...just saw that you said Charleston. |
Where's the pics.... That will give us some idea of the price.

Yeah i can hold out for the right buyer. the body is in great shape, clear title of corse. All maintinence done and car has been maintained. I should be taking some pictures this evening. Are there alot of fd in mrytle beach. Have you found them selling for a little more around this area of the coast because of rarity? thanks

Pics?

I only knew of 2 FDs in the area while i was there.... i owned both of them. The rarity is actually a problem with selling them in that area. Jim-Bob Joe's Cheby mechanic shop can't work on them. People are afraid to buy things that they can't get fixed.

I lived in Myrtle Beach area for a short time (Surfside, Pawley's Island) and never saw an FD there. I visit that area twice a year for a couple weeks and still only saw ONE in the past 5 years and it was read and had a GT wing on it (Wasn't you was it GreyGTC, don't you have a second, red one?)...
With the reman and given the condition of a 94 I'd say $13-14k could happen, just be ready for the $10k offers first lol... |
You'd make better money selling the mods and put the car back to stock for the sale. I gave $13,000 for my first fd in 2000 it had 72k on the chassis. It was a really well kept stock base model montego. I personally would not pay over mayeb $10 or $11k for a car over 100k miles.
Good luck how ever you end up handling it. |
Elitistdown.. i sold the red one months ago.
Yeah, sad to say, but parting out and going back stock is the easiest way to make your money back off of it. |
