can you polish the upper intake of an fd with somewhat basic tools? if so what do you need to do it, if not who will do it?

turbovr6 01-25-2003 08:43 PM

you can do it, takes lots of time and work. where are you located? I may be able to get you a good price depending on location

I live in goergia and have a S4 TII upper and lower I have off and ready to be polished, ask your buddies how much?

BigTurbo74 01-26-2003 03:44 PM

why don't you just get a fd intake?

WHIZ 01-26-2003 04:35 PM

Because I already have the FC hehehehe. I may have a possible chance to get an FD intake, but I already have the intake off and ready for polishing.

Leetheslacker 01-26-2003 05:11 PM

mmmm shiney shineys

papasmurf 01-26-2003 08:19 PM

i looked over all of the posts in the F.A.Q. section, looks great and i'll probablly buy the chromed alt. as for the sanding part what is the best tool? dremel? also for buffing the little crevaces is that buffer you suggested still the best?

This place sells a pretty good kit for the manifold polishing job.

But sanding the part, I would use a good palm sander and a pnuematic tool that chucks 1/4 shanks.
