Hey Gang! Looking for a good flywheel upgrade for my 93 rx7. Any thoughts which one to go with. This is a daily driver so I can't go with one to light. Maybe somewhere around 10-12lbs.

Thanks

maybe thats the difference in the turbo spool?

sweet93 09-14-2005 09:54 PM

Running an Apexi single bb turbo, what kind of increase in hp or spool up time can I be looking at? Is it worth the extra 350? Here's a good one. What will it do to my gas mileage?https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif I mean, I only get 15 miles to the gallon. Is it going to drop dramaticly or have very little change. Keep in mind, this is my daily driver.

you are looking for faster spoolup time on an apexi rx6? you probably wont notice any noticable differences in spool time with a lightenned flywheel, plus your car will be a little less comfortable to drive on the streets..... maybe not a big difference, but its one of the drawbacks.

I got one from spec clutches when I bought my clutch. It's a repackaged fidanza flywheel.

The racing beat is also repackaged fidanza flywheel, but racing beat gives you all the bolts for the flywheel and pressure plate. Those bolts are expensive. Metric class 12.9 and you only need 6. Most places won't sell you anything less than 25. Each bolt is like 1.80 so it gets expensive if you gotta meet min buy. Plus finding them isn't that easy either.

Just get racing beat and be done with it.

You have a single turbo FD for a daily driver?

Wow

I could daily drive mine, but don't trust rush hour drivers or care to put that kind of miles on my car.

This has been my daily driver for about the last 2 years going between WV and NC. It even goes in the snow when only the 4 wheel drives are out. If the weather is to bad for my FD, I don't need on the road. As long as my nose doesn't stuck in the snow, I'm still rollen https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif
