My fd was not running due to an issue with the ECU (solid MIL), the ecu was replaced and that resolved it being flooded immediately when cranked.

I have unflooded by putting 20w50 in the housings and it started easily. However attempts to start it there after will not work. It will crank and fire but will not rev higher than the lowest mark on the tach, and when I stop cranking it will slowly die.

If I add more 20w50 to the housings it will start and run properly, until the next time I try to start it.

I have checked the compression and all faces on both rotors have sufficient compression and the car is stock except for the suspension.

Is this an issue with the OMP not delivering enough oil or any oil? If it is can i test that by premixing and not harm the engine by premixing and having the OMP working if it isnt the issue?

I have 10w30 in it right now, would using 20w50 resolve the problem as its thicker?

If it was the OMP, you would know it. With the stock ECU, if anything goes wrong with the OMP....continuity, resistance, stepping motor or the sensor, it will throw a CEL and go into limp mode.

Rather than 20w50, I think the common stuff to add is ATF, but IMHO ashless 2 cyl oil is better for a flooded car as it will burn well but still seal the combustion chamber. Not sure what all that 20w50 is doing to your O2 sensor and cat. Have you changed plugs?

Yes it has new 7's and 9's with new wires.
