If you were building a sweet show/road racing fd what kind of spoiler would you want on your car and what you think would look the best??



stock fd spoilers any of them

a GT style wing

no spoiler at all

the tail ones that look like there addons to the tail lights

I would say go with a stock one, or maybe a 99 spec spoiler....they look neat too.

yeah i just dont want to have a car that is like the honda boys with a huge spoiler on it.. i think the GT looks real good expecially if it matches the color scheme of your car.. I know it wont make my car any faster or anything and i doubt ill ever take my car up to speeds where I will actually be needing the spoiler but still for looks and everything I think it looks good but no spoilers look good also..

well im rebuilding the motor an the car itself is in the body shop, I have a 99 spec body kit and side skirts going on mine with carbon mirrors and a carbon scoot hood, im debating on the spoiler right now but who knows... im painting it dark gun metal grey the paint code is umm i have it written somewhere but it is 2005 lexus is300 gun metal grey, and it will be trimmed in stainless and black... i know this is vague but i dont have any pics of the car since body work has started.

yah its just mines a show race car in progress lol im prayin Ill have it ready to go come spring but if its not Ill just shoot for next spring and add even more money into it..

i always liked the Veilside GT wing after having seen it on Les Wong's FD. but the one i want is the Afflux wing from FEED:

IMO i like the GT style wing provided you have the aero to make it look "right". other then that i would say no spoiler because they look sooo clean.

wow that veilside wing is sooo hot it will probly cost an arm and a leg though

I like the stock looks. In order it would be..



1- No spolier

2- 1996 Spec Spoiler (this is a very close second, maybe even a tie for 1st)

3- 1993 Spec Spoiler

4- 1999 Spec Spoiler

+1 on the FEED wing. I've been looking for this wing for a LONG time but to no avail. Anyone have one for sale?

okay get the spoiler if you want it. I think the best idea when doing body mods is to build it to flow with the car so in my opinion no spoiler or get one that is streamilined with the car ( NO APC WING!! ) get a 99 spec or something curvy of that nature.

I vote for no spoiler or the FEED wing. My advice is to build your car with no spoiler in mind, then a few months after it's all done decide which one.

I like that idea!! when my car is fully done it will prob be more of a show type car rather than a daily driver. it will be driven but mainly for shows, and on the highway going to the races. I will be doing a lil bit of road type racing on the highways and some light drag strip duty. but mainly its looks what im going for!

bear in mind that whatever spoiler you choose you'll be puncturing the surface of the hatch - choose wisely because once you've drilled, you're stuck.

*IF* you are gonna use it as a track car (as previously posted) the Mazdaspeed wing is nice. If not.... 96 spec.

knightsports dual flap spoiler. big useful and ricey.

series VII is nice, except it looks like a wrx wing. series VIII looks like a celica wing...

im partial to a series VIII with a autoexe CF insert.

Definately the FEED one IMO. Good luck finding one for a price that wont break the bank though.....
