Ok 2 questions.
1: I hear it's not good to mix synthetic and Dino oil. Well, is premix Dino? And will it be bad to use premix while running synth in the block? 2: Mobil 1 has added some new **** to their synthetic oil. Anyone know anything about it? |
Sorry, one more question... I've seen several different shades and colors of premix, but they are all labeled the same... Are they?
|
pre mix is dyno, but it doesn't mix with the oil in the block.
there was something about mobil suing another oil mfr. i didn't read it but i gather that the label "full synthetic" doesn't mean it is. mike |
i heard that mobil 1 has a additive in the synthetic that is not good for the apex seals.. anyone else heard of this..... i use red line and it seems fine...

Tri-Point and Pettit racing both use Red Line synthetic.
Pettit sells a premix (Protek-R) which is a synthetic 2 stroke. Racing Beat uses Royal Purple and used to use Amsoil. There are alot of guys that use Mobil1 since it burns clean. I use Royal Purple since the company Races rotary and Racing Beat claims proven increased HP. |
