First of all I'd like to say... WOW!

I went on my favorite mountain road today (5 steep miles of endless 2nd gear turns) and the RX7 made it up the fastest of any car I've taken up. And I've driven a lot of fast cars up it.

No engine temp problems at all with my SR Motorsports "Ultimate Radiator" which is saying a lot for racing up that road.

I did notice that my tires seemed to rub on something on occasion and the suspension bottomed out when I hit any type of dip while in a hard turn.

I've heard that this can be a problem if you use lowering springs or larger wheels. But my suspension, wheels and tires are totally stock. Granted my shocks may be rather worn but I didn't expect it to bottom out so easily.

I've heard some people say you should get a good coil over set up with high spring rates to fix this.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,

John Magnuson

I would think that it is time to replace those shocks.

Good stock ones woudnt bottom out that easily. Your's are most likely worn. At least that is my take on it.

Yeah I had the same problem before I upgraded shocks. I use to get a lot of body roll too. Go with some good spring shock combo's and you'll be happy with the performance you gain.

I'm thinking of going with Racing Beats Spring and Shocks and of course Koni Shock (I love Koni shocks)

What do you guys think?

I meant Racing Beat's Springs and Sway Bars and Koni Shocks

Ok folks... just ordered Koni Shocks, Racing Beat Springs, Racing Beat Sway Bars, and M2 Rear Trailing Arms. I'll let you know how it goes.
