Your braking bias would be way out of wack...this would not be a good idea.

Your rear tires would be locking up all the time.

ummm...yeah

so will they swap over? lol

Try it and let us know how it works out for you. :

If your asking if you could physically get the brakes to swap over then I'm sure you could with the proper amount of machine work. Obviously, it will not be a direct replacement.

If your asking if it makes any sense to make this swap then the answer is no. The bias would have to be drastically changed and it wouldn't noticably change your stopping distance.

The '99 spec would make much more sense.

Big brakes doesn't mean better... like some people thinking Big turbos = better. Its not the case. Big brakes in the rear will throw of the balance of the car. Some people who get big front brakes sometime spend more money getting brake balancer to balance out the front and rear. Some go far as getting 99 rear brakes as its slightly bigger. I saw at Nopi this year where Jay Laub put two large Mu brakes (front and rear). Obviously he only shows his car and not drive them. Because if he did track it, those things are useless. Only ricers will think its good.

One other thing that I think herblenny inferred....

The FD OEM brakes were pretty good right out of the box. There are way newer and more expensive "sports cars" now that don't stop as well. My rotors will get probably get turned this winter, but other than a set of stainless lines and upgraded pads, I can't think of too many things the AVERAGE owner would have to do to IMPROVE braking.
