Yes it smells. Every time its running it smells badly like gas from the exhaust. It seems like its running way too rich but i have no way of telling. Is this normal? It does need an EGR, could this be why? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/wtf.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

yes i have both cats. i think they might be clogged. the only mods i have is an intake and exhaust. no fuel computer. maybe the 02 sensor is out? would the cpu throw a code for that? it is throwing one for the egr.

I'd go ahead and fix the EGR. If the EGR is sticking open at idle, it's going to behave like a big vacuum leak. I recall an old girlfriend's 4-cylinder where a faulty EGR caused enough unburned gas to enter the exhaust that the catalytic converter was literally glowing bright red.
