So I tried to start my FD after it's been sitting for 6 months and when I turn the key to crank, nothing happens, not even cranking. I bought a new battery and the power to the car comes on but vehicle would not crank.

Please Help!

i had the clutch switch go out on me recently and did the same thing. underneath the dash there's a small box right in front of the clutch rod that won't let your car start unless the clutch is pressed. when mine went bad i unplugged it and hot wired it with a paperclip. sure enough it started so then i cut out the plug and spliced the two wires together. I'm not saying that that's your problem, but it's easy to troubleshoot and fix so you might want to start there. if you hot wire it and still have nothing, my next guesses would be the ignition switch or starter.

You turn the key and get power etc but not turning the starter? I'd say the ignitor.

the ignitor controls the coils, not the starter if i remember right

EDIT: yeah, after looking through the old schematics again there's a starter cut relay which is grounded by the cpu and the clutch cut out switch. those are the only two things in between the ignition key and the starter. again, the clutch switch went out on mine, but that doesn't mean that relay won't go out on yours. if you don't have the schematic let me know and i'll upload and give you page references

Could also be problem in the theft deterrent system causing starter cut relay to break the circuit to the starter solenoid. Removing the starter cut relay and jumping the terminals may get the car started, although this won't pinpoint the problem.
