On cold winter mornings/nights how long should I let my car warm up before driving off? (if there is a certain amount of time) thanks.

i would say just let it sit there for about 1-2mins, then don't push it hard and don't take it past 2500RPMS while driving it until the car is fully warmed up.

If its a 3rd gen start it in gear so the stupid accelerated warmup system doesn't bring it to 3000 rpm and let it idle for a bit. I usually go to the garage and start the car, then go put on my shoes or whatever so it has a few min to warm up. Then just drive gently and stay off boost. You can rev more than 2500. But stay under 4000. Reving too low will lug the motor, especially cause the rx-7 doesn't have much torque and stress it. You sould also dissable the acceterated warmup. Just unplug the hose and cap it. Its the one that connects to the nipple on the back on the intake elbow.

I read on pettit racing you should start it then peak the throttle to send oil into the bearings then immidiately turn it off, wait about 10 seconds for oil to soak in then restart and drive under low boost untill fully warm.
