My car sometimes sputters when I accelerate (at around 3k rpm) It doesn’t happen all the time, just sometimes. It has me baffled. Anyone have the same problem? Help? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

3k hesitation usually happens with 93 model stock ecu's. Some say changing out wires, sparks, etc would fix it.. But I fixed it with PFC:) Man, I haven't heard about 3k hesitation in years!

When did you buy your car?? Were you the original owner??

I'll be honest with you.. So many people on the forum have modded their car and put it back to stock before selling. It could be that the previously owner might of put the wrong ECU or earlier ECU.

You could take the ECU out and see what the model number is. I use to know the model numbers but not anymore... you might call the local mazda dealership and they might tell you.

Search for 3000 hesitation. Its a common issue. Some people think its b/c of poor grounds on the car. Works for some.
