is there an easy way or angle to get the spark plugs out? tool? im using a wrench.

i just cant get an angle with enough torque to get teh bastards out.

well there are 2 ways to do it. from underneath, you have some room. or if you do it from the top, I allways suggest taking the elbow off(betwwen TB and IC) so you have more room.

And you should not be using a wrench. Try a 3/8 ratchet and a spark plug socket.

its to dark today but ill try tommarrow if i have time. i dont have a ratchet attachment that size. i didnt really want to take the elbow off unless i had to but i guess i do, damn.

you don't "have to" you can squeeze in there. I just find it alot easier

you might want to go buy one then (make sure it's a spark plug socket too), because you're never going to get them out with a wrench...



and for what it's worth... going at them from underneath has always been the easiest/quickest for me...



not trying to sound like a jerk, if you own an FD and plan on doing the work yourself you shouldn't half ass it with the tools... use the right tool for the job and buy quality tools... they'll pay for themselves in the long run

try removing the ac and ps... wow, sure is easy to change my plugs now... haha

I agree with using the 3/8 ratched and spark plug socket. The elbow is very easy to take off. It lakes only a minute to take the 4, 10 mm bolts off and then you can pop off the tube that goes to the back of it very easily. then you only have the tube to the intercooler left and that is quik too. If you take the time (1 or 2 min.) to get that elbow off it will go much smoother for you.



If you think this is a pain in the ass then wait till you change the plug wires. I don't mean to sound like a jerk but these 3rd gens are full of annoying jobs. I have had mine for a little over a year now and I have had some run arounds.

just go from the bottom its soo fast and easy there is a big old opening and its really easy to get enough torque to do it good luck and peace out
