I just noticed a few hoses on my engine 0that has been sitting here for a while) that have kinks in them. I put silicone hoses on in April (?) they are pretty much new. No problems when I put 'em on they were just a bit long...they just got a little weak.

The other one...that I noticed
I didnt have any issues with boost or turbo controll but it looks like I was headed that way! |
the first pic doesn't look too bad, allthough i see the 'kink' that you'd be worried about. the second pic is obvious.
for future hose-jobbers=do a thorough check-over of the hoses after you have them on to solve future problems because of a kinked hose. that second pic might cause a problem with your stock sequential boost response, might be why your car was slo dano? when did you do your hoses anyway, before or after the roadtrip? |
before the roadtrip...and it was a slipping clutch smartass https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...doublebird.gif (referring to Jimmy who blew up his car on the Dyno that very trip AND was SLOWER than yours truely https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR )
