Just wondering if it is safe to run the car without the gasket on the throttle body. Since I think the broken gasket is the cause of my problems. Also where can I order one for the best price/reliability? Thanks.

its not safe

you'll suck in debris, sand, dust, and small children when the car is in negative boost (vacuum) and loose boost while on throttle. Call up your local mazda place or give Ray a call at Malloy mazda and order one. I don't have his # handy... maybe someone can post it.

I think you will be fine if it is not long term. Idle will b e a little funky but dont beat on the car.
I just need to get it to my house which is a mile away. :-/
you should be fine.... like fe said, its just gunna be like having a boost leak, your car is still drivable.. just dont drive it too much
So now I have learned more what's causing my car idle to keep jumping. If I hold down the clutch it will still jump up and down but not as fast. If I let go then it will jump fast and make a whistle sound (air being sucked sound). Dunno if this helps to diagnose the issue at hand. :-/

get the gasket first.. then see how things work afterwards... also, did you disconnect the battery during this process? cuz your comp might be hunting for idle also
I did disconnect the battery. Is that a bad thing? Had it disconnect while I changed the plugs and wires...
not a bad thign.. but that resets the ecu
