I would like to know all i can about the RZ model.

ANY differences compared to the our version.

This includes performance, and body/interior.

I know the norm, like turbo difference, callipers, suspention.

What else do I not know of? I like to learn as much as i can, so throw me your info.

Was 98 or 97 the last year of the RZ?

what year had the red seats, and what year had the black?

Was it just the Spirt R that had the red stiching inside, or did the RZ also?

Give me any stats you may have too.

And blah blah blah.........

Once We get all the info to do with the RZ then ill start a thread to do with the Bathhurst and others.

Oh and no flameing cause i want to know about a car that is not available here ...got it.

hahaha

Cheers

Shawn

The second one you threw up was just for 96-97 i believe(from what it said at the top).

What was the first year for it, and was 97 the last or 98?

R1TT 02-15-2003 06:51 AM

Final drive I believe is slightly different, brakes front and rear, ABS computer, I think HP as well 280 something like that, wheels I believe it comes with 17", body front bumper cosmetics, rear spoiler different

It says 96-97 at the top, and the RZ was listed under the specefications table.. so, maybe '96 or '97 was its first year.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

Here's some pics: I'm not sure.. but, I think the last one is an RZ too..

On second thought, I don't think the blue one is an RZ.. my mistake.

j9fd3s 02-15-2003 12:24 PM

there is a 96-97 rz like that black car, and there is a 2001 rz, which is pearl white with the red seats

Vick 02-15-2003 06:34 PM

I have a bunch.. but I'll spare you 56k guys. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

R1TT 02-15-2003 10:31 PM

nice, those pic's make me have some serious RZ envy

Mazdabation 02-15-2003 11:27 PM

Why would that first white RZ have Efini badges if it is a 2001.

Am i correct that Efini ended in 97??

But it does have the new body style....hmmmmm?

Owner must have thrown them on?!?!

Mazdabation 02-15-2003 11:28 PM

Sorry....I ment the second one. In the parking lot

rx7machine 02-16-2003 12:25 AM

The white one is badass.. :smirk: https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Are those the same wheels the spirit R's come with? If not, what are they called? Wonder if they would look good on a black car.. :smirk:

papasmurf 02-16-2003 02:29 PM

its perdy... which white is that pearlie or kast.. sorry i cant spell.

Vick 02-16-2003 02:42 PM

I'm pretty sure the RZ and Spirit R wheels are different, (although both are manufactured by BBS.) The color is Snow white pearl mica. I love the looks of the RZ. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif

Mazdabation- Maybe the owner put them on. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

P'cola FD 02-16-2003 03:03 PM

I like the wheels on the black one.

papasmurf 02-16-2003 03:08 PM

they are all nice wheels.. i think they look best on a light colored car though...

93 R1 02-16-2003 03:36 PM

After they stopped importing them here they got rid of the rats nest and replaced it with 1 black box that controls everything https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/moon.gif

FikseRxSeven 02-16-2003 03:39 PM

papasmurf 02-16-2003 04:23 PM

Leetheslacker 02-16-2003 08:42 PM

Oh yes...very true.

Jason actually had a set for sale not to long ago.

I wouldnt recomend them over the rear bins though.

I don't think the seats are even big enough for a baby. HAHA

rx7machine 02-16-2003 09:49 PM

I like the wheels on the black one.
Me too.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Does anyone know if there's a specific website that sells all the different types of FD wheels?

Mazdabation 02-16-2003 09:54 PM

I'm begining to wonder if there is much of a difference between the RZ and Spirt R.

Besides the fact the Spirt R has special badging, paint colour, and production numbers.

I thought only the Spirt R had the special red Recaro seats and red stiching on the shift boot, knob, and steering wheel, but it seems so does the RZ from those pics(look at the interior pic real close, you will see red stiching on the shift boot)

It seems they have all the same upgrades, rims , interior, suspention etc.

Any one have some facts on this and the differences??
