Whats happnin guys,

I'm in the market for a new car, and i think i've narrowed it down to wither a new WRX, or an old RX-7,

My question is though, I know theres different varients on the 93-95, i'm just not sure what exactly the differences are, so if anyone can clear that up, i'd be gratefull.

+ you can add your comments on the Rx vs wRx. All input is appreciatated.

Lots of little differences between the '93 to '95 US models. Hopefully someone can chime in to what they are(since I don't know the differences as I am in Japan)

As far as the wrx vs. RX-7 debate...depends on how much you want to spend. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Here's some info on FD models and what to look for:

As for RX-7 vs WRX... I had a similar dilema. Where I live it snows so a wrx would have been practical. 4 seats would also be practical. The wrx is also more reliable. I chose the RX-7 anyway because I wanted a beautiful pure sports car, and I'd read about the FD since it first came out, so it was my dream car. I decided to **** practicality and get what I wanted, no matter what the consequences (you only live once). I don't regret it. That's how I made my decision; your situation may be different. No point in comparing performance since you can make either car very fast.

Good luck

If I wanted a new car, I'd go with the Sti, I hear we are getting it soon. I'm a fan of Subaru, nothing beats 'em in the snow. My 7 doesn't even see rain and would never make it in the snow!

They are pretty different cars. Both great in there own ways. I do rally racing so I compete against the WRX a lot (not in an RX7, an all wheel drive BMV).

The RX7 is a pure sports car. The WRX is a fun car with sporting intentions. The STI can be super fast on real roads... maybe even faster than an RX7 in the right type of twisties.
