I have a little money to spend and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this dual oil cooler setup. It comes in two sizes, 25 row oil cooler and 34 row oil cooler. Wanted to know if they both fit the stock front end or they mount as easy they make it sound. Little light on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the guys here are running custom Setrab/mocal setups... Much cheaper if you do the measuring and cutting yourself... know what I mean?

NO OFFENSE to Chuck. He's the man! Just saying you might be able to save a buck or two by switching to Geico..I mean custom..

i am going to make my own kit from mocal parts. i figure that its going to run me in the price range of about 500-700. Chucks product is really nice and i think the advantage of it is that it already has all the mounting brackets premade(i would have to fab these) and is basically a drop in kit.

The Earl's oil coolers use the same exact cores as the setrab/mocal oil coolers do. I have owned both. You can get the Earl's coolers from Summit for cheaper than anywhere that I had found the Setrab oil coolers, and the order from Summit isn't going to take 6 months.

Well then you should be able to fit a 34 row if you're going with an aftermarket bumper which would allow more clearance.

If you want to fab your own, make sure you use a Thermostat. It's very important.

The 34 row will require you to cut the plastic underpanel to accomodate the extra height of the cooler.

I was not going to run a thermostat.

Is it just the oil pressure issue?

I imagine it'll take forever to heat up the oil without one.
