Yes, it is time to reduce heat without extensive oil mods that so many focus on with an expensive rebuild. So instead of spending 5 thousand dollars on a ported monster with oil mods I am keeping with old-fashioned knowledge and upgrading the puny oil cooler on my touring. Thanks to Malloy's competitive pricing I have the money to buy an engine and a bling-bling set of oil coolers.

Does anyone know if the 35 row dual oil coolers are too big? There is more metal to heat up when the oil sits there when the car is off plus I'm not upgrading my front end quite yet and feel that maybe the 35 row is just too big and opting for the 25 row dual oil coolers would be a better decision.

Has anyone bought either of these and what do you think?

Garrett (posted this on the "other" place but I seem to have better luck here)

I personally run a 25 row setrab. I know IGY runs a single 34 row and Chris(Dragon) runs both a 25 and a 34 row setrab on his 20B.

The 34 row is HUGE. IGY has a aftermarket TBO front bumper with HUGE oil cooler openings. Even with the big openings though, a lot of the oil cooler is hidden in the bumper, so he runs a fan behind it(same for me)

Yeah 1 of the smaller ones will probably work great with your setup. Go with the setrab ones like Van said. They are cheaper.

There was a thread that had a bunch of pics on it of an upgraded set but I couldn't find it doing a search. I think it was dual 25's. I printed it off but it's at home. I'll see if I can get the link when I get home.

I did the math before and to do a dual setrab oil cooler with AN fittings and -10 steel braided hose would cost roughly $450.00~ if your willing to build the lines yourself. To do just a single oil cooler kit would cost roughly $300~. This is for the 25 row, not the 34 row.

If you can get me the parts used and all of the fittings. I would be more than willing to get what you suggest jspecracer7.

PM me.

PM me.

I'll do up a list for everybody with part numbers for 25 and 34 row oil coolers. IGY actually did all the work for me since he had me order the parts for his 34 row.

yeah if you're going to do it, make sure you can get as much air flow as possible through your bodywork, i have a mocal 25 on both sides, and i am debating getting fans...
