So I got my radiator removed and ready to put my Fluidyne in but I was just curious as to what is the "radiator" that is right beneath it that the a/c condenser is connected to and what not? I'm guess just for the a/c but not sure. Also god damn is my engine bay dirty!

Yeah thats for your A/C. Got rid of mine. Never used it.

MugenCho 08-27-2005 12:49 PM

There is no point to the A/C unit in the RX-7. It really does eat too much power when you turn it on and when you come to stops it sometimes causes your engine to stall. Rolling down the windows is the only way to go. Maybe I'll look into removing it but it gets 100+ out here in Reno so I doubt it.

quit pretending that it's a civilized car and ditch the AC ... and the PS while you are at it.

Hell, ours lost it's "charge" about 500 miles after we got it. Nothing beats rolled down windows...

if it stalls theres something wrong, maybe the base idle is off.

I like my AC. Nice and cool. And you don't have to remove the condensor, or anything else involving the AC system to install the Fluidyne.

my ac is ice cold..but I only turn it on when on the highway

Signal 2:

I wish I would've known that you dont have to unbolt anything underneath the car. Woulda saved me lots of time. Only after I did what the service manual said did I realize I just wasted all that time. Very very simple to install the Fluidyne other wise. And man it's 2 times thicker then the OEM radiator. Very nice.

Yep. Satisfying isn't it? Smiling behind my tinted rolled up windows, listening to my stereo without all that wind noise, all nice and comfortable with the my AC going....and still able to embarass the crap out of the local ricers. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif
