Is there a link that anyone has with a "How-to" on this subject? I want to recarpet the FD, all myself, without buying a kit. Thanks.

ummm, pull the old one out, put the new one in???
take out the seats, and rear bins first. then you have a choice. either take out the dash, or cut the rug where it meets the dash under the tranny tunnel. you can cut it high up enough that no one will ever see where you cut it |
Thanks man; I didn't know if there was any extra work or something that I didn't know about.

Used black carpet is expensive. They usually sell for about $350 -400. I will have one for sale soon. Tan is worthless, as no one wants it. I sold one for $100 once.

When I converted my semi tan interior (94) from tan to black Initially I dyed the carpet using duplicor vynle and fabric paint. It worked good, but always required touchups. I found used black carpet for 125, I didn't take the old carpet out. I cut the new carpet like mentioned above and put on top of the old carpet. its more quiet and you cant tell.
of course now my car is a pudgy 2735 instead of like 2712 lbs. |
