I have heard from some people that the R1 springs are stiffer than the base our touring model springs for the same year, '93. Is this true? Some sources I've read say all the springs are exactly the same for all '93 models and that the R1 just had stiffer shocks.

Thanks for confirming that for me guys! Some autocrosser I race with was trying to convince me that the "R1 springs" are the one to have. I said I had heard that they are the same in all '93 models. Guess I was right.

Thanks for your help!

i think thats because of the way they have the springs preloaded. if you take the strut to full extension with the stock springs there is still tension on it, if you do the same with aftermarket springs there isnt
