Quickie - 94 ecu into 93? I can't find on search

I am pretty sure that it works fine. The onlything I think you have to watch is the cali ecu's because of emmisions. The maps are probably different but I can't say for sure. That is just speculation on my part.

The only difference is the 94's all came with a 93 Cal only style EGR valve. If your 93 is a Cal model or you've added a Cal EGR then you'll have no problems.
If you add a 94 ECU to a 93 49 state model you'll either get a "check engine" light or you'll have to add a EGR from a 93 Cal model or 94.

Thanks...again.
Glad that you guys are out there helping us newbies.
Ooops..to confirm terminology for us Canadians....I have a 93 "non-Cali"...and if I put in a 94 non-Cali I will STILL get the check engine light correct?
To correct this problem I have read that I can "fool" the ecu. But how much would a used Cali egr run me? Or would it really be best to try and fool the ecu by following some of the instructions in the Lightening in world site?
