Hello Im Andy im from Ireland and im just about to purchase a FD3S Rx7...



I buy all my cars from Japan and have got my eye on a 92 Type R..



It's very clean and i plan on buying it but i am a bit baffeled about the engine size?!??



Normally it sez 1300.. But for this one and a few others ive seen it sez -20000!



Can any1 tell me what this means??



And if any1 has any other info i shud look out for when buying 1 it wud b greatly appreciated...

The seller most likley has no clue about the car.



There IS a 2.0L rotary, but it is rare and unlikley that he has performed the swap (big HP and big $$)

There not an auction ya c so they'll have to stand buy the car if they sell it.. Which will b a bit hard coz i live the other side of the world.. But all their cars come with an odometer guarantee and are genuine... But i will be getting more detailed pics soon enuf hopefully so il post them up when i get them...



Heres a pic on the interior... Its very clean for a 92!!! And im not gonna show a pic of the rear as it has rotton lexus lights and a weird rear bumper!

While the car has some obvious mods, it looks very nice. Have you asked for compression check? And I'm with you on the rear lights. Maybe they have some stock ones they can put in for you?

Whereabouts in Ireland are you? I'm in Kilkenny. All I can tell you is what you probably already know - any form of rotary will have to be imported meaning it's a huge shot in the dark. I tried getting one for my Lotus 7 clone - tried everywhere including Traynors in the north who didn't have any and weren't expecting any - so if they don't have them it's safe to assume no-one does.
