.

Hi.

would you say it's a good bang for the buck?
Yes. Provided it is in good running condition. Otherwise they can be a real pain in the ass.

What advantages does the FD have over its competition? (turbo 6/v8s)
Weight and Looks

Reliability?
This word no-longer associates with the FD. Ref. Memo 22-14-1a.

what would you improve on the fd?
Nothing really… If they are driven like they were designed to be (At speed, not sitting in traffic) they are fine.

how often between rebuilds?
Average 60K miles. Could be WAY off the charts in either direction. More you mod, better your chances are for destruction.. .Unless of course you have a good tuner near by..

effects of nitrous on a rotary?
Same as any motor. Not properly tuned = Boom.

Parts/aftermarket for a rotary expensive or not?
**** yes.

what's a good price for a 3rd gen in running condition?
Depends on what you mean by ‘running’. I’d look for a 60k chassis with a fresh rebuild by a REPUTABLE shop. 13K tops

oh yeah...are j-spec motors any diff?
Yes. Ask 4RotorRocket
