i found a leak from one of my primary injectors. since i have a serious alergy to fire i am going to replce both. i have done this on another fd but i went the route of removing uim, dp, then the turbos then the lower manifold then the primary fuel block.

my question is have any of you guys just done it from the top? will i need to move the selinoid rack or just the port air **** to get access. thanks

You have to remove solenoid rack. It might even just be easier since you're in there to just remove all emissions altogether and go non-sequnetial to rid yourself of all that crap.

Sure its the injectors themselves and not the insulator gromets?

by grommets you mean the gaskets on the primary block itself right? no i dont think it is them because whaen i put a stethiscope in there near them with the engine off key on i hear the gas seeping by. smell it also.

where can i get those grommets mazda does not so them on their parts list i got from the dealer. only o rings for the injector and the spacer plate

Yeah, i had a huge fuel leak and found out that the insulators were worn out... first check to see if they are still capable of doing their job, if no, replace em. Its way cheaper than getting new injectors.

where can i get some. mazda has no idea what they are. they only show th o-rings that go inside the block on the injector itself. nothing to seal the primary block to the engine , besides the metering sockets. any ideas, links

www.iluvmyrx7.com they have micro-fiche and you can just call mazda with the part number yourself.

Call Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda. He will know what they are. Its a good idea to replace them when the injectors are out anyway.
