Besides of the 7's drop dead gorgeous looks, and Twin turbo rotary engine. What draws ppl towards it For example you can rebuild a ka24de of a 95 240sx with rods and pistons run 15-18 psi and put out close to 365-380 hp to the wheels. But if you put the kind of Hp to the wheels on the 7 would it be much more different than the 240? Basically what would the difference in the powerband be?

Well for starters, a built up rotary with a single turbo running 15-18psi is going to be making 400-475rwhp. In a car that weighs around 2800lbs with superior handling makes a very sporty ride that is very addictive. I've never seen a 240x dyno sheet, so I can't say I know the difference in powerband.

well the 240 has a redline of 6500 i do believe, full boost with a t3/t4 is around 4200 and the weight of a 240 is about 2750 - 2800.

the rx7's are very nice packages from the factory. a 240sx is alot of work to make it go fast....

ok, i'm sorry but i have to ask on a piston engine running 18 - 20 psi the life of the rings is somewhere between 35k - 40k before you have to switch the rings out. Now on a rotary pushing 15 - 18 psi how long will the apex seals last?
( I heard that if you run a t78 on the 13b it WILL NOT last longer than 30k is this true? ) |
