So anyways my car is pissing me off...

I'm on trying to get to work at 430 am and the car doesn't have any power,

I got one of my "vampire" ass friends that stays up all the time to come and jump my car... well I jumped it and whenever I first started driving it, it started sputtering and the electrical **** was going haywire (flashing abs light, radio turning on and off, gauges flickering, turbo timer counting down, car jumping all over the place, lights looking like a rave, bunch of ****) but after a little bit this stopped. So I goto work and think about it for 12 hours.. so I get off and I had to jump the car in the parking lot to get it home, does the same **** out of the parking lot and gets normal again after a little while. So I stay up until 1am trying to figure it out and finally (after getting the battery checked) I put the battery back in and it works fine. So I just figure it's one of those "my car has a personality" things, and goto bed.

This morning it works fine started up and drove to work just fine. Got off work and had to jiggle the pos. terminal to get it to start. Well I had to pay a bill at Target and it ended up being stranded in the parking lot for an hour waiting for someone to come and jump me. After I got it jumped it ran like crap all the way home..anything under 3k rpms the car jumped....but if I hauled ass the car ran just fine (problem is I can't haul ass everywhere, maybe in a metro but not a rx7)

So needless to say I gotta be at work tomorrow at 5am and I would really like to drive my 3rd gen.

I know it's probably a short or something...so I unhooked everything I didn't need (guages and ****) and that's not the problem.

BTW I bought new terminals for my battery and stuff and that didn't work.

I would start by checking the alternator connections, all of them.

well one of the nuts on the bracket where you adjust the tension is missing but not the one that tightens and loosens it. That might be it but I doubt it...cause the battery even though it acts dead is still alive. Cause I pulled the battery out and checked it at autozone and it had 12.6 watts or volts whatever still.

check the connections in the main fuse block, i'm not sure about the FD but on the FC it's very possible to have one of the terminals come loose and cause annoying ass problems like this... on the FC the alternator lead goes to the fuse block, so does the battery lead... so if they come loose you won't have power to your chassis wiring, only the 4 gauge going to the starter, which won't do **** for you if you don't have the power to throw the starter solenoid... so yeah, I'd check the fuse block... not just hte fuses in it, but the connections to the block for the cables.

sounds like that is definetly worth a shot. thanks
