Not to be an ass but you might want some more common know how before you try modifying your car. When adding a sending unit for a temp guage you generally have to drill and tap the hole. For the temp guage I would put it in the front of the filler neck. Don't forget to take the radiator hose off for that. We wouldn't want metal bits getting in the coolant system would we? You can add the oil gauge sending unit into the oil filter pedistol. I know that greddy have an adaptor you can buy to fit the sender because I just bought one. The same with the oil pressure gauge.

I like to play safe by taking as much advice as possible

Thanks for the info.. I know now where i have to put the water temp sensor but am confused about the oil pressure and oil temp... is the greddy oil filter block adaptor a must to install these gauges??

That I don't know for certain. It would not be an issue to install the sending unit with the engine apart but i don't see how you would keep metal shavings out once she is assembled.

water temp usually goes in the water pump housing area ... it did on my FB anyways ... i know theres no place on the rad for it so , either water pump or near the rad cap area ...

Rotorfreak,

Appologies for linking another forum, but I'm getting ready to do 'D' series temp guage too. I know you said you know WHERE to mount the sensor, but in case you have a question of HOW, I found this pretty helpful. Good luck.

You might have to get a little smaller oil filter with greddy plate. It is a tight fit under the intake manifold. They also sell a type that threads into the engine feed line from the oil coolers. It has two spots for oil pressure and temp.

anyplace you can tell me where i can get the one that connects to the oil cooler?

thanks
