I want to go non-sequential, non-stock twinners. I've been told BNR turbos will work, but I still want to upgrade. What turbos are considered a very mild upgrade for the BNR? HKS GT25? HKS GT28?



I found a twinner kit out there that uses Apex'i turbos (AX53B70's I believe). Has anyone used Apex'i turbos? how are they?

how much power are you looking for, and what other upgrades do you have, and willing to spend money on?

450-550 bhp. My plans for engine mods start with a new radiator, then the entire fuel system(primaries, secondaries, twin pumps, collector tank, regulator(s), and probably a Power FC), ignition system, followed by oil system (25 or 32 row coolers, maybe an electronic pump?, relocator kit, catch can, and a larger oil pan if i can find one), then finally turbo system. this all depends on how many times i have to rebuild the damn engine too. That will slow me down a little. If I do have to rebuild I will be porting, ceramic seals, and cryo hopefully.



At this point though, I've got f-all in the car. cat-back, down pipe, blitz sbc-r boost controller, and an RE-A AST.



I know I'm a very long way off from actually getting to the turbos, but, when I do get there I want to be able to know what I need and git 'r dun. Basically, I'm one of those **** retentive planning people, 18 million lists later, I'l have what I need, and be able to start modding.



I know all of the stuff I listed above will more than likely easily put me into my bhp range, but I want to keep this car as streetable as possible, that is, drop the boost for daily driving, but at the same time have no worries when I want to crank the boost.

I don't know of any twin turbos that can meet your power goals, except for something custom. For anything above 380-400whp range, single is the best option IMO.

Nevermind, I see you said brake HP, so a minimum of around 400whp.



These are probably near the max hp that the BNRs can support, as you can see, they run out of breathe after that power range. He was running these sequentially. I've discussed this with him, and he has a 500r single turbo setup now, that he likes way more.

You'll need to upgrade your drivetrain at those power levels also.

Sorry for my ineptness... but BNR's? Like BNR as in the Skyline Chassis code...? And again, anyone heard of the the Border twinner kit using the Apexi AX53B70's?

if you can struggle your way through the japanese, you'll find the twin kit under RE13 Turbo Kit in the RX-7 section of the catalog.

Best bet is to have something custom made...
