I have grown a interest in the FD they are a very sexy car...I own a Del Sol siRll that I have built from the ground up and I will be complete with her after she gets painted(nothing more to do besides tune). This upcomming spring I will hope to purchase a nice FD...What are some things that I should look for what engine should I look for....ect...I know they came in a NA and Twin version right? I found this one its local and he has done everything you can basically do check it out

Or this one its in stock form

Now these are 2 different cars all together one is modded like crazy and the other is stock...Now I would love to modd the stock one myself but I will end up spending a **** load so I could just get the one that is already modded and just tune..tune..tune..HELP!

Ouch! I just noticed that the stock one is an AUTO yuk

1st, there were no N/A FD's.

2nd, Both look decent at a glance, it's up to you to decide if you want to inherit potential problems that may have come with poor installation and/or tuning with the pre-modded FD. Don't think that the stock is safer just because it's stock! I made that mistake! Your best bet is to get what you want (mods or stock) and deal with the effects of your purchase later. Either way, have the cars checked by a rotary mechanic before the purchase. Although it may not guarantee a perfect car, it gives you some idea of what you're looking at (mechanically speaking).

You beat me to it. Auto is not my personal prefernce but may be your. Since you allready have a fully- built car that must mean your into go not show. But the del-sol and the FD are in two different classes. Stock or modded I think you will be happy with the desision you make.

Man these FD's are soooo exspensive! how much did you guys pay for yours?

Expensive? Thats only if you put a value on what you buy. Consider it an investment for future happiness https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

But I figure you are used to picking up your parts at the local Autozone too! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

The auto is a peice of crap. I wouldnt even want to drive one.

I found mine with some bolt on mods. It saved my some money, because I was just going to get these items anyways. I'm talking DP's, catback, intercooler, ect.

As far as mileage goes, Mine had a new motor installed. If there was one thing I could have done differently, I would have bought a FD with a blown motor, and rebuilt it with a nice street port. Sense i bought mine with a stock reman with 7k on the clock, there is no reason to break down a perfectly good motor.

I don't get anything from Autozone except oil https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I am acoustomed to spending a high dollar for quality part's seeing how the Sol has a JDM siRll engine and USDM parts never fit soooo direct from Japan is the only way to go..I figured I would find one with some parts to save money cause modded cars lose value oposed to the same car in stock form. The first link Im going to contact him and go test drive this Sunday possibly I figure I could talk him down to around 16-17k...with the mods he has listed that thing must HUAL ASS I dont know if im ready for that kinda speed https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png If he's game and will hold it for the winter I might just go to the bank and get a loan soon as the snow melts.
