I had a 94 MB t78 car in texas last year and just moved to new york city. I was wondering if anyone knows the emission laws up this way and if a single turbo car would pass here or in new jersey or if i should just register my car in texas. Shouldnt be a problem since i will probably only get to drive the car once or twice a month. I'd like to be able to LEGALLY drive a 425-500 rwhp car again and as much as i loved my ls1 powered f-bodies i really wanna go rotary again. i had just about every imaginable mod on my 94 becasue where i lived in texas did not have emissions laws but im thinking emissions here are gonan screw me. What mods can i do and what shouldnt i do and still pass? thanks in advance.

You won't pass....*legally*...but there are ways (Cough, cough, friends in shops who'll take money, cough) around it....

I'm glad to hear SOMEONE admit that driving in the south is boring! Hehe, when I visited SC and FL, I noticed how lame it felt to drive everywhere; sure, you never had to hold the gas pedal down to get up a hill and feel the gas mileage drop a couple MPG, but there were no challenges besides making a 90 degree turn onto a new road...

Where are you in NYC? Definitely should come up to Orange County, I'll show you a few fun runs... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

yeah it was fun and all a few times having miles of endless copless road ways for 180+ mph fun but high speed gets old and is way too dangerous. im in brooklyn... how far is it to where you're at? at the moment i'm carless as i sold my last car when i moved here oct 29th as ai didnt see the point of a daily driver with public transport a plenty and there is no way in hell im parking my car on the street here or driving with the new york wacko taxi's on the road. Me and my girlfriend are looking for some suburban hood with access to a manhattan bound train or bus where i can have a garage to park a FD.

*edit* i'd definetly LOVE to go for a ride in an FD again though... been way too long https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

I am only an hour and change from NYC.

Best bet for you would be to take the MTA train out of Grand Central to Beacon and I'd pick you guys up there or something. Contact me on AIM: efiniVII or tigerdbr...

And yea, I feel for you. I don't see the point in owning an FD *IN* NYC however if/when you have the means to store one, and get out of the busy area's, it'll be a blast to drive around up here...https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
