how big can you go on rims before the get too wide?? im thinking of going with18x 8.5 or 9 in front and maybe 18x 9 or 9.5 in rear.. what would be the best fit and best for drivablility??

I think 10" wide is going to be the limit in the front and that is with 2.5" OD springs. For the most part I would say the same applies to the rear but I have seen some people trying to fit a 10.5" wide on the rear.

I have 9j in front with 235, in the back 10j with 275's. I have seen 9.5 on front and 10.5 on back.

I think he also would like to know what offset he needs when he buys the wheels because that it kinda important also.

I know that the common wheel size is 18x9 in front and 18x10 in the rear. 235's in front and 275's in the rear. Thats what I am getting real soon.

I'm getting 18 x 8.5 all the way around.

9.5 or 10" wide is nice cause you can fit a 275 or 285 wide tire on it.

rfreeman27 07-27-2003 12:21 AM

you can fit 10's in the rear with 285's with a 50+ mm offset. i believe on stock suspension and no rolled lip!
