Engine brace should be a damper, not a solid piece of rod which has no give. A engine brace is supposed to dampen the shock from shifting, not preventing engine from moving. If you want to prevent engine from moving, you should just get solid aluminum motor mountings. A solid engine brace without any play puts too much stress on the lower manifold and also the chassis. The constant stress creates fatigue on the metal and eventually it's going to crack. I have seen a car with a solid engine brace and the frame part where the bracket mounts to was already cracked.

Recently there are lot of engine braces coming out but none of them is the damper type. The FEED one is not a damper type either. It looks like a damper but it's not. I have bought a few already so I know for sure.

The brackets and the outter casing for the damper are made of 6061 T6 aluminum. All the mounting nuts and bolts will be in stainless steel. All the components are the highest quality possible.

If you notice the brackets have no holes to mount the damper, it's because they are not drilled yet.

The price for the Rotary Extreme engine brace will be $225 + shipping.

Looks good Chuck. I have been holding off on buying a torque brace, but this one seems to be well built! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I have a FEED torque brace currently and although I really like it, I don't really like the way it fits a LHD car and I don't really feel like deleting my ABS...

I'd be interested for sure, looks good https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/bigthumb.gif

WishIhadaRX7 07-16-2003 05:00 PM

Danno 07-16-2003 05:17 PM

Razerx 07-16-2003 06:58 PM

It's a bolt on. I just haven't drilled the holes yet on the prototype brackets. I want to fit it on a car and mark the holes so I can make sure it will clear the ABS pump unlike some others on the market. It comes with everything. All you need is tools to put it on.

It uses the heavy duty lift support.

The price of $225+shippnig is the introductory price. Unless I sell 20+, I can't offer any price cheaper than that.

I am going to fit it on a 3rd gen and take some photos. After that I will be ready to take orders.

Will you guys be interested on a combo price of the engine brace + the harness bar?

Chuck,

if you get the protoype installed...can you take a video of it with the car revving...that would be GREAT.

Beautiful product BTW.

Never mind the regular bolts I use to mount the engine brace. I didn't have time to get the stainless steel bolts today but you will get the Hex wrench type SS bolts and nuts.

There is plenty of clearnce (0.5") between the engine brace and the ABS pump.

The Harness bar is the one that replaces the stock rear strut bar for you to mount the racing harness (racing seat belts).

You can go to this link for more details on the harenss bar.

http://www.rotaryextreme.com/harnessbar.html

The combo price for the harness bar and the engine brace will be $450 shipped.

It's not a motorcycle shock. It's a heavy duty lift support type shock.

Garfinkles etb is not a solid rod .it has rubber bushings on each end of the link. The fender mount has 6 bolts. Have you seen one crack the sheet metal. No vibs the car seams more solid to drive ,shift . The link is made to fit the car it goes in .The brackets are made from 3/8 inch steel. the holes will not elongate as alum will .The price is only $85 plus shipping . Check with Jeff 48 for info and pictures .
