I'm going to fab up some solid engine mounts and I need to see what the stock USA ones are like.. In japan the left mount is aluminum with the rubber formed to it and the right side is steel with a bolt on rubber mount.. then on later models they are both steel with the bolt on mount.. Are they the same in the USA and If they changed them up what year did they do it..

Thanks,

Chris

Driver side is formed and passenger side has the bolt. Mine is a 94 and I know 93 is the same. I dont think they changed it in 95 but I could be wrong. I have heard though that some people use 2 right mounts and turn the driver side around somehow. Just what ive heard.

They changed it here too. I bought new mounts from the dealer, and the new left side one was different then the original. No more aluminum. So they are both identical now.

Cool.. I'm about to make solid engine mounts to sell. People with both steel brackets will only need the solid mounts I'm going to make, but people with the older aluminum formed mount on their car will need to have both solid mounts and a bracket for the US Drivers side then.. Good to know info.. I currently have 7 or 8 of the new style steel mounting brackets, Maybe more if I look threw some more of my parts lying around... I've already started making the mounts and will probably put them up for sale around the time I head to the Tokyo Auto Salon next week or right after I get back..

here is the first one.. The bolt threw the bracket is just to hold it together for the picture and is not the actual one that will come with it. It will come with stainless steel bolts and washers with Nuts for both mounts. You will use your stock turbo side Mounting bracket and the other one I can include for those who will need it that have the stock aluminum motor mount type. I only have enough of the steel mounting brackets to sell 8 sets with the bracket. I will also sell just the 2 aluminum mounts with out the bracket for those who already have the steel one on both sides. The solid Mount is Made out of 2024 Aluminum.

$175 for what you see in the picture + all of the stainless steel bolts, washers and Nuts to install it shipped to the USA or Canada

$110 for just the 2 mount's with all the bolts and hardware needed to install it shipped to the USA or Canada.

how will this make the car feel? not that i'm really worried... since i will soon have both your braces anyway plus an etb and the car is like a vibrating box... haha

also, is there something i should look for to see if i have the stock 93 mounts or if they were switched prior to me buying my car?
