I have a normal boost pattern when I lightly accelerate but if I go wot or heavy on the gas I get no boost at all. But if I start building boost the go wot I don't have any problems in that gear until I shift.

Anyone have any ideas?

boost pattern are usually achieved on wot..

When step on the gas slower (lightly) and reach wot, I have a normal patteren but if I just mash the gas I get nothing.

I checked all the clamps but still no differance. I did notice I do get some boost when this is happening but only 3-4 psi. Starting in 2nd gear if I hammer it and go wot I get full boost, shift to 3rd hammer it (wot) I either get nothing or 3-4 psi to redline, shift to 4th and get full boost. It'll do the same if I start in first except I won't get boost in 2nd. Also when I'm not geeting any boost and lift off the throttle there is a strange sound. It sounds like air but its not a normal bov sound.

Is there any type of vaccum canister or something that could be bleeding off? This is my first 7 so I'm not really sure what type of valves or solinoids controll the turbos.

You're not alone dude, I've got the exact same thing going on with mine. I going to be checking out everything when the weather here in NE decided to cooperate for a weekend. I'll let you know what I find. Please let me know if you figure it out before I do.

Sure no problem. I was just checking everything over and couldn't find anything. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for but I'm still lookin.

Can some one please give me some idea? I checked the y pipe twice for cracks and could find anyhting.

Do a search for boost leak, when you get a chance.

This is what I came up with real quick. boost problem

It's possible that you have a sticking actuator rod.

Check them make sure that they arent frezzing up or something.

It could be alot of things, but you need to get a workshop manual.

and then start going down the list and checking it all out until you find your culprit..

DOWNLOAD A WORKSHOP MANUAL HERE.
