I have to take the twins off and first make sure all the seals are there, before i take it to the dealer.
Thanks for your reply. |
do it the ghetto test way... it's not a way to know if it's definately good... but you will know if it's definately bad.
pull both leading plugs... and crank the engine over. If you lost a seal... you WILL hear it. Hell, stick your finger over the holes as your buddy cranks it over. If you can keep your finger over the hole.... guess what? the engine is fucked. |
I actually did do that. The rear rotor has 3 loud swooshes as you turn the crank manually. The front one has 1 loud and 2 low.
It's either 2 stuck seals or 2 buster corner seals as i can see all 3 apex seals on each rotor. |
an apex seal could be chipped or cracked too...
This is why your car still goes well, the compression is not very bad...yet as im sure you know, rebuild now or it could get costly. |

Well, i'm getting to it slowly. I'm soaking it currently to see if it is a stuck seal or not. If i don't hear 3 loud swooshes by turning it manually eventually, it'll be coming out. Thanks for all your replies. Amel |
