I recently bought a '94 RX-7 from an insurance auction. The car is missing the exhaust, turbo (it was a single turbo), downpipe, intake, intercooler, ect.

It was a hard hit and it looks like the guy had some money into the car. It had a carbon fiber C-West bumper cover, carbon fenders, and a carbon Scoot hood. Also carbon fixed headlights. It was a hard hit and the upper and lower intake manifold cracked. It looks like the car has a GReddy intake elbow on it, but the GReddy logo has been polished off. Also I found a cracked single turbo manifold in the car. It has a GReddy logo on the wastegate flange. The car suposidly has 84K on it. And I'm not sure if I should just put the stuff back on the motor or if I should rebuild it. The motor is basically stripped bare making me think that the orginal was taken out after the accident and this one was thrown back in. Another problem is the oil filler cap, it's broken off. The Scoot hood lets in a bunch of water so I'm a little warey about throwing new parts on the motor and hoping it runs. Is there anyway to do a compression test without the fancy Mazda digital gauge's I've seen? Or am I better off rebuilding...

Here's a pic of the carnage: https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...raft/RX004.jpg

yea you can get a guage from Sears for about 40 bucks and return it when your done using it. I used to work for sears for 2 years and they won't give you a problem doing this, i've done it myself so. You need to take off the valve on it though, where you from ? if your in the NJ area I might be able to help

where are you located? I could explain how to do the test over the phone better than typing it out and stuff
