Hi all
My name is Andreas and i live in austria, europe and im an owner of an 92 FD JDM. I had my fd3s at an self declaimed rotary specialist - but it was a big failure. Now, im going to repair my car for myself ( like i did on my porsche 944 ). When i got my car back from the specialst, i realized that the terrible sound was on when you are low on cooling fluid. Today, i filled another water to the cooling fluid reservoir to find out, where the leak was ( cooling fluid ran out ). When you follow the "pipe" for refilling, you will come to the reservoir. Beside the "Pipe", there is a black gasket on the top of the reservoir. The fluid is going out there. So my question, what part is missing there? I guess the specialist took something away. If you cant imagine what i mean, i will shoot a picture, because my english is not sooo good. thx a lot Andi |
Loosing coolant is a sign of further trouble, black ring I think your refering to is seal from filler tube to reservoir.

@Fastenough
Thx for your answer, i realized that the black rubber gasket is the "venture" for overfilling the cooling system with fluid. I also found a broken belt after the cooling reservoir. AND im going to order a new coolent temp sensor from mazda malloy ( if he answers my order ) because the old one is broken. Then, everything must be fine for now. thx a lot Andi |
