I am restoring a 1993 FD Touring, Briliant Black. 47k org miles. It just got out of the paint shop and is slowly being put back together.

However, around a month ago the whole car just started to have horrible electrical gremlins. I removed probably 50ft of random wires the last owners installed. This included aftermarket alarm, CD changer for the stock stereo, and random power wires for devices no longer present.



I have 2 main concerns. The first, I have NO parking lights. For a while it poped the fuse after a day or 2, but now theres nothing. I think the TSS relay fried and I will replace it tomorrow. But what would cause this fuse to just start blowing?

No gas guage, this is just an pita. I have replace the sender with a known good one, replaced the guage with a known good one, and replaced the whole guage cluster as a last resort. What am I missing???



Where should I start?

This is my DD starting end of the week, so I am very concerned that I cant drive it at night. Thanks as always.

I would bet that there is a wire grounding out somewhere. I would try to trace the wires from the turn signals back to the relay. The gas gauge could be a loose wire as well. Confirm the grounds are all tight etc.

Nine times out of ten when it comes to wiring it will usually be a small break on the wire or the insulation is worn and the wire is grounding out on the body.

All my tails blew out the other night. Im tearing it apart tonight, it must be a short.



I think I will do the waterpump and thermostat while im at it.
